Nice read. Often I come across martial artists of this era questioning or making negative comments about kata. They seem to not understand exactly what it is or does. I tend to put it simply as kata is a routine almost like any other that one does in any type of discipline. Hence this latter word is yet another description of kata.

One of the few who understands the actual meaning of Karate-do (not jutsu) and is able to portray this in simple terms. Excellent article.

Dan again:

I have read some of your articles and hope you will go on writing on such true karate subjects.
May be a book some day?

Should be interesting too to see some of your training drills with your students on Youtube
Again congratulations

Great articles about stances which (beyond the dan rank or the body capacities) show a real comprehension ok karate principles.

Congratulations too a bout your post in karate underground about "I should have done so more things when I was young".
Same age and fully agree
cheers
